I too have been practicing Roti buns for some time now (but with a recipe from youtube). I have tried both the direct method and using a tangzhong. Bahan Mexican Buns a.k.a Roti Boy

  1. Sediakan of Bahan A.
  2. Gunakan of Tepung Tiprot.
  3. Sediakan of Gula Kastor.
  4. Dibutuhkan of Garam.
  5. Sediakan of Susu.
  6. Gunakan of Dry Yeast.
  7. Sediakan of Susu Hangat.
  8. Dibutuhkan of Butter.
  9. Dibutuhkan of Bahan Isian Butter.
  10. Diperlukan of Butter.
  11. Gunakan of Gula Kastor.
  12. Diperlukan of Bahan Olesan Moka.
  13. Diperlukan of Butter.
  14. Dibutuhkan of Gula Kastor.
  15. Diperlukan of Telur.
  16. Siapkan of Terigu.
  17. Sediakan of Kopi Instan.
  18. Dibutuhkan of Air Hangat.

Pemilik gerai Roti Boy ini hebat, karena di gerainya cuma jual satu jenis roti. Biasanya gerai kue atau roti masih punya variasi, misalnya donat ya rasa donatnya macam-macam. Also a copycat of Pappa Roti. These are delicious and so different- Not really Mexican, they are from Malaysia.

Langkah-langkah membuat Mexican Buns a.k.a Roti Boy

  1. Campur semua bahan A kecuali butter lalu uleni hingga kalis, stlh kalis masukan butter lalu uleni kembali sebentar dan bulatkan adonan. Stlh itu istrhtkan adonan 40-60mnt.
  2. Sembari menunggu adonan A kembang 2x lipat kita siapkan bahan B lbh dlu, campur semua bahan B lalu aduk dengan whisk dan bekukan di frezer dg wadah/plastic wrap slm 1jam hingga beku, lalu potong dadu.
  3. Setelah 60mnt adonan mekar 2x lipat lalu kita kempisakan adonan dan timbang 80gr atau sesuai selera gilas lalu masukan butter yg sdh di potong tadi kedalam adonan roti lalu bulatkan kembali dan propfing kembali selama 30mnt.
  4. Siapkan bahan C lalu aduk hingga tercampur rata setelah itu tuang kedalam pipingbag lalu lubangi ujungnya sdikit.
  5. Profing kedua selesai lalu tata adonan diloyang yg sdh dialasi dg baking paper, beri jarak adonan lalu tuang melingkar olesan moka diatas adonan dan oven dg api bawah 190c selama 25mnt dan api atas 15mnt (atau sesuaikan dg oven masing).

It is like a thin coffee butter cookie spread over the bun. When you bite into these the outside is crisp while the inside is soft and buttery. I have been told you can freeze the cooked buns and heat. Repeat with remaining portions of dough. Pipe the topping on the buns in a spiral, starting from the centre.
